Borrowing From the Library
Students, faculty and staff must present a valid school ID card with barcode to borrow materials from the library. Students will need to be registered in class to borrow books. Alumni and students on leave are considered Alumni/Guest Users. Alumni/Guest Users will need to apply for a library card.Circulation
Limits on borrowing:- 3 books maximum on same subject/author.
- Faculty/staff: 60 items for 15 weeks.
- Degree program (graduate and undergraduate) students: 15 items for 4 weeks.
- Non-degree program (Continuing Education, ESL, Summer Immersion Group) students, and alumni/guest users: 5 items for two weeks.
- Reference, special collection, and out-of print books are limited to the library area and cannot be checked out. See staff member for overnight policy.
- Periodicals: Limit 5 per transaction.
Overdue Materials
Overdue materials should be returned or renewed. Fines are assessed after the due date at the rate of $0.25 per day/per book after 10 day grace period. Patrons will not be able to borrow or renew books until the fine is paid. A courtesy email will be sent out every Friday, however, patrons are responsible for returning the books on time whether they received the email or not.Lost Items
The fine on lost books is the replacement cost for each book and a $10 per-item processing charge.DO Not Mark on Library Materials
We understand the temptation to mark books in order to aid your studying or research but keep in mind what might help you will most certainly make it more difficult for someone else to use the book. Besides, it is simply bad for the books. Readers must not mark or in any way damage books belonging to the library. In addition, marking the books constitute as vandalism because books are library property.So please do not mark in any library materials so that we can all use the materials as they were intended.
